This is what Sid told the kids on New Year’s Eve . . . .
“Boys, 22 years ago on this night, I did something I had never done before.”
The boys are quiet and intent on Sid’s face. They can’t wait to hear this one.
“22 years ago, I kissed your Mama for the first time.”
Dead silence.
Then Sidney says “Oh.” A hint of dissappointment.
But Lincoln quite earnestly responds, “Well, THAT was exciting.”
Sidney says, “You were 16 years old and Mama was 15 years old.”
And I was immediately exasperated that he doesn’t do his math work that quickly. Since he so obviously CAN.
