Prairie’s Song

Prairie lays on the rug playing with Blokus pieces and singing jovially, “You love me, don’t ya?”

“You love me, don’t ya?

You love me, don’t ya?

You love me, don’t ya?

You love me, don’t ya?

You love me, don’t ya?

If her tone wasn’t so jovial, I would think the child was desperately seeking reassurance.
