A man longs for his wife

From Home, with love…

Why do I smile?

Because I have always looked forward to Autumn, and the leaves are colorful.

When you were last here, it was all green.  Your leaves have changed without you.

There are coats on the hooks by the door.  They weren’t there when you were last here.

I have always looked forward to Autumn, but none more than this one.

I have always looked forward to Thanksgiving; we have never missed one.

In years past, the house smelled like cinnamon, and other things, the names of which I don’t know, ingredients that make up cookies and pies.  This year it hasn’t been so.

Your oven still works; it just hasn’t been working… except for simple things.

You always make a cheese ball.  I know how to buy cheese.  I suppose I could smash it up in a ball.  I don’t think it’s the same thing.

I have always looked forward to Thanksgiving, but none more than this one.

I’m coming.

  1. I am so thankful you love your wife; my sister, so much. Just one of the many things I am grateful for this Thanksgiving. Love BreeBree
