The road to Memphis

Yesterday was rough.  Mostly going through the motions, trying for normal.  But the separation loomed.

I saw Sidney and I walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Sid, Lincoln, Rachel and Prairie were far from us on the other side, waiting at the prepared table.  There was no way for Sidney and I to reach them unless we traversed this dark, scary place.

So I set my focus on getting both of us there,  back to those we love.

But it felt unbearable.

Until my 10 year old daughter hugged me bye with a little smile “Mama, I think I know how all this is going to end.  I have a feeling of Big Hope.”

I carried my daughter’s Big Hope with us all the way to Memphis.
